‘Being a good bystander’

Session 1: 9.30 – 10.10 am
Session 2: 2 – 2.40 pm
Audience: Years 4, 5 and 6 students.
The presentation will assist students to:
- consider the impact of their actions when posting photos and comments
- be ‘good’ bystanders if they witness cyberbullying
- discuss appropriate actions when being a good bystander
With the help of classroom teachers, the presentation will feature interactive questions and discussions.

‘Keeping safe in the game’ for National Child Protection Week and the Victorian Games and Apps Challenge

Tues 5 Sept 2017, 2 – 2.40 pm
Session 2/
Thurs 7 Sept 9.30 – 10.10 am
Audience: Years 4, 5 and 6 students.
The presentation supports National Child Protection Week and the Victorian Games and Apps Challenge.
It will assist students to:
- identify ways that strangers may try to seek personal information online
- use safe strategies when gaming to avoid cyberbullying or unwanted contact
- recognise the implications of in-app purchases
- seek support if they are experiencing cyberbullying or feel unsafe when gaming.
With the help of classroom teachers, the presentation will feature interactive questions and discussions.
