An Anti-Bullying Video was made in the UK with stars such as Rio Ferdinand, Sharon Ozborne and Sugar babes to encourage young people to “make a stand†against bullying.
To view it, you’ll need to have Microsoft’s Windows Media Player on your computer. If you click on the link below, the video will begin to play.
Make sure to check out the Online Bullying Blog and have your say.
Online social communities need to provide a means to report cyber bullying.
At http://www.bloust.com there are several “report abuse” buttons throughout the website providing a means for people to curtail this behaviour quickly.
Social communities need to take their member safety seriously, especially when dealing with students of all ages.
Heather – this video is really powerful. After watching this video with my year 7’s we were able to have a very meaningful and informed discussion on both the destructive results of bullying and the ability we have to take the power away from the bully. We went on to make short movies with an anti bullying message and the kids had a ball. Thanks for posting this video link.
Heather – thanks for the link on cyberbulllying! I too used it but with grades 3’s and 4’s. We had a great discussion on what cyberbullying was and they are in the middle of creating comic life scenes that depict cyberbullying and how it can be solved.
