Audience: Years 5 and 6 students

This session supports National Child Protection Week by helping students understand the part they can play in creating a safer online community for everyone.

The students will follow the story of a group of students as they navigate trust in online friendships and learn to respect the values and rights of others online.

This presentation will address Australian and Victorian Curriculum outcomes, particularly in the area of Ethical Understandings. Students will:

  • examine values accepted and enacted within various communities
  • monitor consistency between rights and responsibilities when interacting face-to-face or through social media

The session will run for approximately 40mins via Adobe Connect.
