Congratulations to Yanni, a year 10 student at Northcote High for winning the Tropfest Junior film competition held in Sydney this weekend with his beautiful and thoughtful animation “Chess People”.
Yanni showed determination and dedication,
having been a finalist in 2014 with two other students, both called Oliver when they were all in Year 8.
Tropfest is an internationally recognised short film competition held each year. There is a separate junior event sponsored by the Australian Children’s Television Foundation. All students are eligible to enter. For more information
