Maybe you have numerous blogs or maybe you’re very new to it all. You can always find great blogs on the left hand margin of the Global Teacher page under ‘A+ Global School/Teacher blogs’. If you have a great blog, please email us at global.teacher@edumail.vic.gov.au and we’ll add it!
Marybank Primary School – Scotland – this blog is updated nearly every day by students in Year 4 – 7. There is a great variety of content and this blog shows how blogging can be collaborative. When there are lots of contributers, the workload decreases. And what a great way to teach students about online privacy and cybersafety issues!
Fict.it.ous – a fantastic secondary school book blog. You can find other excellent examples under the heading ‘Book Rooms’ in the left hand margin. Remember to leave comments about books you’ve read, or even better, encourage your students to explore these blogs.
Learning Curve – Marie Coppolaro – a great example of a teacher’s professional learning blog.
Lucacept – Intercepting the Web – Jenny Luca – a very rich resource from an educator who is leading the way in using web 2.0 technologies with students and teachers. Jenny Luca presented at the recent SLAV conference and she’s included her presentation in the blog.
Poles Apart – Paul Stewart – a blog written by an educator heading to Antarctica – it doesn’t get much more ‘Global’ than that! Follow Paul’s progress as he prepares for his trip at the start of next year.
