Digital technologies can present new and exciting opportunities for students. The Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) are presenting a series of three script writing workshops for primary and early secondary students delivered via video conferencing (ZOOM) directly into classrooms across Victoria.
Dates
Workshop 1: Friday 7 August, 2pm – 2.45pm AEST
Workshop 2: Friday 14 August, 2pm – 2.45pm AEST
Workshop 3: Friday 28 August, 2pm – 2.45pm AEST
Participants are required to attend all three workshops.
Over the three sessions students will develop their skills as a sketch comedy script writer, gain access to one of Australia’s most prominent comedy script writers and use the innovative digital script writing tool, Sketch-O-Matic, to record their ideas.
Workshops are open to class groups aged 11-13 years and will provide students with opportunities to connect with other students from around Australia while honing their skills as the entertainment writers of the future.
This event is a partnership between ACTF and ACMI and is supported by the Victorian Department of Education and Training. To ensure greater accessibility, the price of the Workshop Package has been subsidised. Each class booking of three workshop will receive You’re Skitting Me Series 1 & 2 DVDs PLUS class access to the Sketch-O-Matic.
