Picture us….. a small P12 School, ‘out in the sticks’ of country Western Victoria, with no mobile phone reception (well… if we are lucky, we can send sms from several patches in the school grounds if the weather is okay and we face the right direction)…. but today we live blogged with Premier Brumby, Minister Pike and the grade 6 students from Richmond Primary School. See our live blog and why we love blogging!
The live blogging software used was coveritlive. It is free, all comments have to be moderated, it allows insertion of photos, videos, music, polls and text chat.
This is sensational Anne. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Thank you Heather. Who would ever have thought that after your visit to us at Hawkesdale last year, that we would be where we are now. Actually we thought that we were just live blogging with Richmond and the Minister for education and that morning found out that the Premier was going to be there as well. Nerves ran high but luckily our internet held together as did the global teacher blog. Thank you for helping us on this exciting journey that just gets better and better.
It all worked brilliantly Anne, thanks for the fab suggestion of using the live blog. The kids had a great time with it all.
Wow! This looks fantastic! I am going to look at coveritlive now. When I get my head around it I would love to try it out. When our students at North Fitzroy Primary Start blogging next year we would love to hook up with students from both your schools. Well done what a fantastic learning tool.
kids will have lots of fun online blogging
