Victorian school have been active in the Cybersafety space. You do great work and I am inviting you to some webinars and let you know some news.

This news was delivered via the School News that goes out to DET Principals last week.

  • There are two Cybersafety sessions coming up, one for teachers and the other for student yrs. 5-7 and you are invited. See the details below.
  • The Department of Education and training has a new Web Conferencing tool – Adobe Connect (and we will be using it for these events)
  • ACMA Cybersmart is no more. The Australian Government has created the eSafety Commission. They will be introducing themselves, their, role and resources to us all in the sessions.

Session 1 for teachers
Thursday 10th September 2015 at 3:45pm – 4:45pm  (Room opens at 3)

An online session for teachers will introduce the role of the newly formed eSafety Commission and the programs and resources they provide for schools.

Session 2 for Year 5-7 students
Wednesday 16th September at 9:30am – 10:30am (Room opens at 8)

Secret Security Business will get the students to consider how they can connect safely with others and manage potential risks online. It will include strategies to protect their own and other people’s personal information.
