Guidelines For Setting Up Student Blogs
Schools are responsible for developing their own Acceptable Use Policies for students
Teachers should ensure that student privacy is paramount when using Global2 blogs
Teachers must not use student’s personal details including full name, date of birth, address etc when setting up student user accounts
Teachers must create all student blogs.Teacher should create these blogs with their own email details not those of the students ie teachers should be the Top Level Administrator
Teachers should create student accounts and make them a participant of any blog(s) created
A teacher can administer as many blogs as required
The teacher can choose to either have no comments or to moderate them as they are received
Teachers must actively manage all blogs during the life of the blogs that they have created including deletion of the blog where appropriate
To assist you in setting up your student blogs please check the Notes on Getting Started With Global2 blogs.
Once Set Up
All students must have completed all appropriate Acceptable Use Agreements before they begin using the Global2 space
Issues or removal of content should be done at the school level. Support with this is available at global.teacher@edumail.vic.gov.au
