Global2 is a great place to communicate with your peers, educators or people from around the globe. Staff participating in the Global2 blogging network are encouraged to post samples of student project work on their blogs. When you set up your blog you can choose whether or not you would like your blog to be searchable in Google.
Remember that once you click the publish button, your work is in a very public domain and can be readily scrutinized by anyone who has access to the Internet. So never use students full names and never include email addresses in your posts. Google and other search engines can trace anyone once their full name appears on the Web (just do a vanity check and you will see this is true) and trackers can copy email addresses very easily.
The Internet is a wonderful publishing tool with enormous potential but there is a down side. You do need to practice safe cyber publishing.
What if you are ready for a wider audience? Leave a comment on the Global2 blog responding to a post and let us know you’d like to be added to the blog roll. Leave comments on the blogs of other teachers and classes and remember to always respond to comments people do leave on your blog. This way you can start to build your own community.

Hi there,
Looking at setting up a school blog, just wondering if I can be added to the Blogroll so I can explore what others have done
Hi Yr.6,
Everything seems to be going well from what I read. Mr. Klep told me you are just off to dinner. I hope the meals are as good as home.
Not much has happened at school today but the place is a lot quiter without you.
All the best for the rest of the trip.
